Media rights and usage
You bring the photos. We make the film. This page says plainly who owns what at every step, because on a seven-figure asset that question deserves a straight answer.

The short version
- Your photos stay yours. We acquire no ownership of anything you send or point us at.
- The finished film is yours to use commercially, without limit of time, territory or channel, once it is paid for.
- We only work from media you have the right to use. That is your warranty to us, and it is the one thing we cannot verify on your behalf.
- Nothing is invented. We do not add rooms, equipment, views or features the source photos do not show.
What you are confirming when you send us a listing
When you give us a listing URL, a gallery, or files, you confirm that you own the media or hold the marketing rights to it, and that using it to produce and publish a listing film breaches nobody else’s rights. In practice that means the photographer’s terms permit marketing use, the owner has authorised the listing, and any trademarks or logos visible in the frame are there legitimately.
We take you at your word on this. We do not scrape third-party marketplaces and we do not take photos from a listing that is not yours. If a brokerage sends us a competitor’s gallery, we will not use it.
What we do with your media
Your photos are used for one purpose: producing the film you asked for. Specifically, we may crop, colour-correct, retouch and animate them, and combine them with music, titles and your branding.
Production involves generative models that turn a still frame into motion. Those models run on third-party infrastructure, so your photos are transmitted to the providers listed in our Privacy page for the duration of the render. We do not license your media to anyone, sell it, or add it to a training set.
Accuracy, and the line we will not cross
A listing film is marketing for a real asset, so an invented feature is a misrepresentation rather than a style choice. Every prompt that touches one of your photos carries preservation rules: stay inside the visible space, never pass through a wall or a door into a room the photo does not show, never add furniture, equipment, people or a view that is not in the source frame.
Specifications in titles and captions come from your own listing copy. If the spec sheet is wrong, the film repeats the error, so check the cut before you publish. If we spot a clip that drifts from the source, we recut it rather than ship it.
What you get, and what you may do with it
On payment you receive a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive right to use the delivered film for any commercial or marketing purpose. That covers your listing pages, YachtWorld, Boat Trader, BoatsOnline, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, paid advertising, email and anything sent directly to a buyer.
You may re-edit, trim, re-caption and re-export it. You may keep using it after the boat sells. You do not need to credit us. The one thing you may not do is resell the film itself as a product, or pass it off as the work of a third party you are charging for it.
Music
Films are cut to music we hold the rights to use in client work. Those rights cover the film as delivered. If you strip the audio and replace it with a commercial track of your own, the licensing of that track is yours to sort out.
Automated systems on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook occasionally flag library music incorrectly. Tell us if it happens and we will supply the licence documentation or recut the film to a different track at no charge.
Showing your film in our own portfolio
We would like to show the work. By default we may display films we have produced for you on this site and on our own social channels, as examples of what the service does.
You can opt out at any time, including before we start. Say so in an email and the film never appears, or comes down. No reason needed, no effect on price or turnaround.
Removal requests
If you believe media on this site infringes your rights, write to hello@yacht-tour.com with a link to the page, identification of the material, and a basis for the claim. We will take it down while we look into it rather than argue first.
The same applies to a seller or owner who no longer wants their boat shown: tell us and it comes down.
If something goes wrong
If a third party makes a claim against us arising from media you told us you had the right to use, you are responsible for that claim. This sits alongside the rest of our Terms, which govern the commercial relationship.
