Privacy
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The only personal data we hold is what you type into the enquiry form, plus the ordinary records of running a business.

No tracking
There is no analytics script on this site, no advertising pixel, no session recorder and no cookie banner, because there are no cookies to consent to. We do not know who visits, which pages they read or where they came from. That is a deliberate choice, and you can confirm it in your browser’s developer tools.
What we collect
When you use the enquiry form
The form asks for your name, your email address, your brokerage and the listing you want filmed, plus an optional note. All of it is optional except name, email and listing, and all of it is used for one thing: answering you.
When you email us
Your address, your message and anything attached. Normal correspondence, kept in a normal mailbox.
Server logs
The web server records requests, which includes IP addresses, in the ordinary way. These exist so the site can be kept running and abuse can be spotted. They are not joined to anything else and are not used to profile anyone.
If you become a customer
The media and listing information you send us for production, and the billing details needed to invoice you.
Why we are allowed to hold it
- To answer you and to perform the work you asked for. This is the performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before one.
- To keep the site running and secure. Our legitimate interest, and the records involved are minimal.
- To meet accounting and tax obligations. A legal obligation that applies to invoices, not to enquiries.
Who else sees it
We do not sell data and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. A short list of suppliers process data on our behalf:
- Hosting
- DigitalOcean, LLC. The server for yacht-tour.com is in Frankfurt, Germany (EU), so enquiries sent through the form are stored inside the EU.
- Outbound email
- Resend, which delivers the notification raised by your enquiry and any reply we send from our domain.
- Inbound email
- ImprovMX forwards mail addressed to our domain into a Google mailbox, where it is read and answered.
- Production
- Listing media is transmitted to the model providers that perform generation, currently Replicate, and to Anthropic where a listing page is read automatically. This happens only for listings you ask us to film.
Some of these are based outside the EU. Where that is the case, transfers rely on the standard contractual clauses in those suppliers’ data processing terms.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that go nowhere: up to 24 months, so we recognise you if you come back. Less if you ask.
- Customer correspondence and project media: for the life of the relationship and a reasonable period after, in case you need a file again.
- Invoices and accounting records: for the period French tax law requires, which is longer than we would otherwise keep anything.
- Server logs: short-lived, rotated routinely.
Your rights
If the GDPR applies to you, you may ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to our processing, ask us to restrict it, or ask for it in a portable format. There is no form and no fee.
Write to hello@yacht-tour.com and we will deal with it within a month. Deletion is usually immediate: an enquiry is one line in a file, and removing it takes seconds.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you may complain to your national supervisory authority. In France that is the CNIL.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS only. Enquiries are stored on the server, not in a third-party database, and the tooling we use to produce films is not published on the internet. Access to the mailbox and the server is protected by two-factor authentication and key-based login respectively.
No system is perfect. If we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires, rather than quietly fix it.
Children
This is a business service for yacht brokers and boat dealers. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. If a change materially affects people who have already written to us, we will say so by email rather than rely on you re-reading this page.
Who is responsible
The operator of this site is the data controller. Questions and requests go to hello@yacht-tour.com.
